925 Silver

925 recycled sterling silver is our material of choice.

With a some TLC, your jewlery should last you a ifetime.

Sterling silver is a precious metal 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper (pure silver is too soft for jewelry).

Because it's an alloy, it can naturally react with air, moisture, sweat, and certain products.
That's completely normal.

THE GREEN FINGER

In very rare cases, you might notice a slight greenish tint on your skin. This can happen due to your individual skin chemistry or trace polishing residue from finishing.

It’s harmless. Wash your hands thoroughly and keep wearing your piece, it usually settles quickly.

CAN I SWIM OR SHOWER
WITH MY SILVER PIECE?

Washing your jewellery in soapy water and drying it well with a soft cloth is the key to keeping you jewlery brand new. We recommend showering and washing your hands with it as long as you're not in contact with harsh chemicals.

Avoid sulphur-rich water, chlorinated pools and harsh chemicals.

TARNISH HAPPENS

Tarnish is simply a thin surface layer that forms when silver reacts with sweat, humidity, sulphur (eggs, garlic, curry), or everyday products like lotions, perfumes and cleaning chemicals.

It’s completely normal, superficial, and easy to remove.

Cleaning your silver

THE POLISHING CLOTH
(EASY MODE)

Every few weeks, or whenever it’s looking a little dull, give your piece a proper rub with the polishing cloth included with your order.

It’s pre-treated with polishing compound and made specifically for silver.

THE DEEP CLEAN
(IF YOU LEFT IT TOO LONG)

If the cloth isn’t cutting it, here’s the fix:

You’ll need:
Boiling water, a bowl, baking soda, aluminum foil, soft cloth.

Steps:

  1. Line a bowl with foil (shiny side up).
  2. Add boiling water and a spoonful of baking soda.
  3. Drop your silver in and leave it for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Rinse under cool water.
  5. Pat dry and finish with your polishing cloth.

Back to bright.

Gold Vermeil

Our gold pieces are plated with a thick 3.5-micron layer of 24k gold over solid 925 sterling silver.

That's nearly twice the industry standard thickness.

It's made to last, but like all gold plating, it will naturally soften and fade over time. That's just how plating works.

Gold vermeil needs a little more caution than silver.

To keep it looking good:

Avoid friction, hard surfaces wear plating faster.

Apply lotions, sunscreen and perfume before putting jewelry on.

Avoid hand sanitiser and harsh chemicals.

Storage (for all pieces)

Store pieces separately to avoid scratching.

Keep them in a dry place.

Bathrooms are not ideal (humidity = tarnish).

An airtight pouch or box is best.

Cuffs, pearls & stones

CUFFS

Adjust once to fit your wrist, then slide it on and off sideways.

Repeated bending hardens the metal and can eventually cause cracking. Set it and leave it.

STONES

Hard knocks or bending can loosen settings.

Some stone pieces use jeweller’s adhesive during setting, so avoid high heat (hot baths, saunas, steam rooms).

Wear them normally. Just don’t wrestle in them.

PEARLS

Our pearl necklaces and bracelets are hand-strung and designed for gentle wear, not everyday gym sessions.

Avoid water, perfume, lotions and friction.

They like calm lives.

By now you should be able to make your pieces last forever.
