The Making Of Lox and Chain x Ed Hardy

The Making Of Lox and Chain x Ed Hardy

Built from scratch. Literally.

When we started working on the Ed Hardy collab, we had no idea what we were getting into.
Every single piece was built from the ground up, by hand.

Before there was silver, there was wax.
Most pieces were carved by hand, shaped slowly until they were right.
That process is what gives each piece its life.

Once the wax models were ready, they were cast into solid 925 silver.
Same design, totally different energy, heavier, colder, something you can actually feel in your hand.

No mass production. Hand work. Fire. Metal.

Some of the pieces are hand-painted with enamel.
It’s a long process, but that’s what gives them their character.
It’s a nod to Ed Hardy’s world. His tattooes and art, turned into metal.

Not everything in the collection started as metal.
The beaded necklaces were made completely by hand too.
Each bead, charm and pearl was individually strung onto silver thread.
All the silver charms were hand-painted to add extra detail.
It’s slow work, but that’s what makes each necklace one of a kind.

Nothing was mass-produced, every piece went through real hands, one at a time.

Every stage was unpredictable, a lot of work but insanely rewarding.
What started as a random email turned into one of our favorite projects ever,
a true mix of tattoo culture and craftsmanship.
